Recently many financial novice investors are asking me about in-the-money and out-of-the-money options. I want to know more about the details of in-the-money and out-of-the-money options, so today I will introduce you in the following article Take a look at in-the-money and out-of-the-money options.

In-the-money options

In-the-money options are options with intrinsic value. For call options, the exercise price of the option holder is lower than the underlying securities settlement price; for the put option, the underlying securities settlement price is lower than the exercise price. The more an option is in price, the higher its intrinsic value and price. As options get deeper into the price, their delta value will rise, and options' performance in terms of profit and loss will become more and more similar to that of the underlying instrument. Therefore, the delta value of options in the price is close to 1. (In-depth price means that the underlying transaction price of the call option is significantly higher than the exercise price or the underlying price of the short option is significantly lower than the exercise price.)

Introduction to out-of-the-money options

Out-of-the-money options, also called out-of-the-money options, refer to options that have no intrinsic value, that is, call options that are priced higher than the futures price at the time or put options that are priced lower than the futures price at the time. If an enterprise's equity capital is regarded as a kind of buyer's option, the underlying asset is the total assets of the enterprise, and the value of the enterprise's liabilities can be regarded as the approximate pricing on the option contract. The term of an option is the same as the term of the liability.
