The Dollar headed moderately higher in N.Y. on Thursday, helped a bit by mostly better data. Initial jobless claims fell more than expected, while leading indicators beat forecasts as well. existing home sales were a bit weaker, though were impacted by weather. The DXY made its way from 91.00 early in the session to 91.42. Wall Street started the session out modestly in the green, though reports that Biden intends to double capital gains taxes on the wealthy resulted in a sharp and swift sell-off. The major indices dropped 1% intra day.
