Been monitoring the pairing of GBP/USD for this week. It has been on a downtrend on the back of lackluster UK employment data as well as the strengthening USD – led by a number of factors such as the rising US yields, Trump’s executive announcement as well as upbeat NFP. But, still waiting for the Q2 GDP figures release to ascertain impact on this pairing. It is forecasted at -22.4% verses -1.7% Year on Year, but let’s wait for the actual result to be sure.
