The Fed held rates at 3.50–3.75% (unanimous 12–0), but the dot plot lifted the 2026 median rate projection to ~3.8% from 3.4%, with 2026 PCE inflation forecasts jumping to 3.6%. Dow –0.98% to 51,492.55, S&P 500 –1.21% to 7,420.10, Nasdaq –1.34% to 26,021.66. 🌏 Asian markets: Japan's Nikkei 225 jumped +1.8%, breaking above 71,000 for the first time ever, even after the BoJ hiked rates to 1.0% earlier this week – the highest since 1995.
